金融監督管理委員會(金管會)為提升財務資訊及時性及透明度，於2010年宣布將年報申報截止日提前，然而這樣的政策是否會影響資訊及審計品質？本研究以2009年至2012年之上市櫃公司為研究對象，探討年報申報截止日之提前對裁量性應計項目所產生的影響。實證結果顯示，年報申報截止日提前與裁量性應計項目呈顯著負相關，表示當年報申報截止日提前時，裁量性應計項目會下降、資訊品質上升。本研究進一步探討會計師事務所若具備產業專家身分，是否會讓年報申報截止日提前對裁量性應計項目之影響產生其他作用。實證結果說明，由會計師事務所產業專家查核會對裁量性應計項目產生顯著影響，符合假說二之預期。
