本創作探討運動結合城市特色的形象策略，以職棒球隊「統一獅」及其屬地臺南市為例，進行導入地方形象於視覺系統設計之研究創作。由文獻調查得知，國外職業球隊是將屬地城市與運動結合作為經營重點，以帶來在地支持的效益。而統一獅是中華職棒唯一的元老球隊，近年也關注球隊的在地化經營，希能藉此克服球場老舊問題與球迷南北落差的困境。首先實施文獻探討，藉此掌握統一獅球隊的在地化經營現況與問題點，同時歸納地方形象與視覺系統設計的相關文獻。接著實施運動與城市兩者相關人物的深度訪談調查，再根據調查結果，彙整出臺南地方形象共通率高的元素，提出「歷史古都」、「多元特色」兩大設計方向，做為後續的設計重點依據。而創作過程分為二

個階段：首先是第一階段「實驗創作」，經由專家調查篩選出主要標誌設計，初步發展為基本系統與應用系統設計提案，並透過展覽獲得的回饋與建議，據此修正為第二階段「主創作」之問卷調查評估指標。接著，由運動與城市兩者相關的各族群選出兼具城市「臺南」與運動「統一獅球隊」特色之標誌設計，再進一步發展為更加完善之視覺系統設計提案，並以線上展覽公開創作成果。本視覺系統設計分為三大面向，主要核心為「統一獅球隊標誌」及其視覺系統，再將臺南的政府單位、產業團體等目標族群加入設計系統內，提出「公家機構系列標誌」與「產業團體系列標誌」二個面向的延伸應用，希能強化統一獅在地化經營的現況優勢。本創作成果希冀能強化統一獅球隊的地

方形象，除了提升臺南市民對於統一獅球隊的認同感，促進球隊與城市共生共榮的情感連結之外，也能對建立城市與球隊兩者的正面形象有所助益。另一方面，針對職業球隊的地方形象設計系統化發展，本創作亦提供量身打造屬於自己的視覺策略化之參考。
