本研究主要利用生質廢棄物衍生之生物炭複合離子液體應用於污染物處理。經由熱解廢棄菱角殼獲得生物炭(WCSB)作為吸附劑,同時為提高對金屬離子之吸附力,利用離子液體(1-Butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate, [C4mim][PF6])進行改質WCSB, WCSB/[C4mim][PF6]重量比值為1、3、5、7並稱之為WI1、WI3、WI5、WI7,各別吸附pH4溶液中之Cr(VI)及Cu(II),可見Cr(VI)吸附量提高,透過FTIR、XPS分析[C4mim][PF6]/WCSB吸附之機制,可觀察到Cu(II)會與WCSB上的C–O、C

-OH、COO-H作用形成鍵結或形成氧化物,吸附後WI7之pH由9.93降至8.53,使Cu(OH)2的含量增加,故Cu(II)吸附量提高,而Cr(VI)則是和WCSB的C-O及C-OH作用還原為Cr(III),此外,由於吸附後WI1和WI3之pH分別由7.9降至4.26和4.57,Cr(VI)在酸性環境為HCrO4-的型態有利於吸附,因為隨著離子液體的加入,[C4mim][PF6]上的N+對Cr(VI)具有靜電吸引,促進Cr(VI)與WCSB反應還原成Cr(III),而Cr(VI)在鹼性環境下為CrO42-,更有利於吸附在WI7。在應用於光觸媒的研究上使用經由熱解花生殼製成之花生殼炭(PSB

)之能隙為2.11 eV,並且在進行甲基橙降解實驗中顯示實驗結果與RSM預測結果相符。O 1s XPS可以發現PSGO 上的C-O、C=O與TiO2表面上的自由電子鍵結形成 Ti-O-C結構以及[C4mim][BF4]的複合促使TiO2產生缺陷結構,使能隙略微降低,此外Ti 2p XPS顯示因CuO的複合,使Ti 2p之結合能下降,因Cu離子進入TiO2晶格,形成氧空位導致電子電荷密度提高,並且Cu可作為電子受體抑制電子電洞對重組,因此PSGO-CuO-BF4-Ti (best)因複合PSGO、CuO及[C4mim][BF4]使光催化效果進一步的提升。
